Blankenberge may be one of the most popular and busiest seaside resorts at our  Belgian coast. There is always a lot going on, not only on the large beach, but on the sea promenade as well, with lots of food stalls and shops. Even after sunset, Blankenberge stays awake with a nightlife, which is nowadays hard to find at our coast.
Also for people who are in favour of peace and quiet, Blankenberge offers you everything you want. Our favourite spot is the harbour, where fishing boats and yachts arrive and leave all the time, and where fishermen take there shrimp catch on the shore. Sitting near the water, you’ll never get enough of this inexhaustible sight!
Blankenberge serves everyone! You can feel that, walking on sunny days, seeing people everywhere.

New year’s party

New year’s party 2010-2011 at Hotel José in Blankenberge was a big success!

Also this year, you can celebrate New Year’s eve together with us. David who picked up the tradition from chef Lieven, created an amazing menu, which will please everybody. People, who have already celebrated New Year’s eve together with us know, that it is worth while. We advise to book as soon as possible, because lots of die-hard party-animals have already made their booking for next year. Music and atmosphere assured!

Motto arrangement

The ‘plat pays’, which inspired Jacques Brel, is a wonderful region, where a sea wind and a cloudy heaven can create a unique atmosphere. The place to be, is of course Bruges, the Venice of the North, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, on the breaking point of rural polders and a green wood and park landscape. Also the other Flemish and Zeeland historical harbour places, like Damme, Lissewege, Sluis and Aardenberg, have kept their medieval hospitality

They are all situated near an ingenious system of irrigation and drainage canals, around which the trees all grew in one direction. Some Flemish seaside resorts can also be found in the neighbourhood. You can find them in ‘Het Zwin’, a unique silt nature reserve. It is a privilege to be able to make your way through this wide, quiet and fertile polder- and cove-landscape. In the evening, you can enjoy a cool Belgian beer or some other local speciality…
